Formerly a convent, the Sisterhood of Sobriety prides itself on providing a comfortable and nurturing sober-living environment, where a woman can focus on learning about and building a solid foundation of recovery. We hold tri-weekly house meetings, enjoy impromptu gatherings, and host movie nights in the family room. We share meals and meet for potlucks in the Van Gogh room. Women “work the steps” with their sponsors, and our board meets in the library/meditation room. Some of us garden and most of us lounge on the spacious grounds in good weather. For many women, the Sisterhood’s physical space comes to feel like home–and we like it that way.
